We aggregate data from multiple authoritative sources to provide comprehensive insights into congressional representation and campaign finance.
Congress-Legislators Project
Our primary source for comprehensive member data including demographics, contact information, committee memberships, and leadership roles.
Data includes:
- Member demographics and contact info
- Committee assignments and leadership roles
- Office addresses and phone numbers
- External resource links (GovTrack, Ballotpedia, etc.)
Congress.gov API
Official source for member photos and additional congressional data. We use their API to maintain current member photos with 99.8% coverage.

OpenSecrets.org
Comprehensive campaign finance data including top contributors and industry breakdowns. We cover 97.6% of current members with campaign finance data.

- Top campaign contributors

Federal Election Commission (FEC)
Official campaign finance data from the FEC's bulk download system. Provides detailed contribution records and committee information.

Comprehensive legislative tracking and analysis platform providing detailed information about bills, voting records, and congressional activity.

Our Methodology
We aggregate data from multiple authoritative sources to provide the most comprehensive view of congressional representation. Our data pipeline automatically updates member information, campaign finance data, and photos to ensure accuracy.
The Gilens and Page study that inspired this project analyzed 1,779 policy issues from 1981-2002, revealing that economic elites have 6x more influence than average citizens on policy outcomes. We believe transparency is the first step toward addressing this democratic deficit.
